I know a lot of my friends wore makeup since they were in middle school. I think there’s always those girls who enjoy prettifying themselves on a daily basis. Eyeshadow, eyelashes, blush, eyeliner… the whole shazam.
Though I have always been interested in style and fashion, I’ve never been much of a ‘put things on your face’ kind of girl. But lately, I found myself drawn towards makeup. Maybe it was after seeing that all my friends were wearing it or maybe it was after deciding that I should try to embrace my femininity (haha…). I’m definitely NOT an ‘extreme makeup-er’. 6/7 days of the week, I tend to just use powder, put a bit of lip balm on and walk out the door. However, there are those days you want to put in more effort and look better and that’s when the blush and eyeliner comes into use.
Today, I decided to put my creative powers into use and draw a nifty little illustration showcasing my most loved products. Rather than trying to create a super neat and detailed drawing (as I usually do), I tried to create quick sketches. They aren’t that great but… hey, at least I tried? :)

This is fabulous! I’ve been wearing makeup for a long time mostly because I just enjoy it. You get to pick so many fun colours and styles and change them up…. Taking product pics is tough. I have a really good camera but I feel like I need a macro lens.
Definitey! Although I haven’t really tried experimenting with eyeshadow yet, I think it’ll be fun.

It is difficult taking product photos. I got a nice camera as a present a year ago and it’s so much more complicated than a normal digital camera. So many things to think about such as lenses. I’ll need to spend a lot more time trying things out until I become better :)
